Installation Instructions

Installation

• Switch the ignition off and allow the vehicle electrical system to shut down before starting.
• Access and remove the instrument cluster / Virtual Cockpit using the correct Audi model-specific procedure.
• Disconnect the original cluster connector.
• Connect the cluster end of the module first.
• Align the white marker with Pin 1 on the corresponding connector.
• Connect the original vehicle harness to the remaining module connector.
• Ensure all connectors are fully seated and correctly oriented before refitting the cluster.
• Refit the cluster and trim and confirm normal display operation.

Important

• Later Audi Virtual Cockpit vehicles can use different 18-pin and 32-pin connector variants depending on model year and display type.

Audi Q5 / SQ5 FY connector check

• 2018–2020 vehicles: 32-pin connector version.
• Mid-2020 onward: 18-pin connector version.
• Check the fitted connector before installation.

Mode / Operation

Operation is controlled through the vehicle's normal controls and the product retains the selected setting. The exact control method varies by vehicle, cluster and software version; use the supplied vehicle-specific instructions for authorised off-road/dyno testing and for returning to normal operation.
