Installation Instructions

Installation

• Switch the vehicle off and allow the electrical system to shut down before starting.
• Access the BMW i8 instrument cluster using the correct trim-removal procedure for the vehicle.
• Disconnect the original cluster connector.
• Connect the module inline between the vehicle wiring loom and the instrument cluster.
• The installation is plug-and-play and should not require cutting or soldering the vehicle wiring.
• Ensure each connector is fully seated and secure the module and wiring away from moving parts or sharp edges.
• Refit the instrument cluster and trim.
• Switch the vehicle back on and check that the cluster and normal vehicle functions operate correctly.

• Access may differ slightly between the i8 I12 Coupe and I15 Roadster.

Mode / Operation

The module uses vehicle controls for authorised test-mode operation and can retain the selected setting between starts. Because control behaviour depends on chassis, cluster and software version, follow the supplied vehicle-specific instructions and return the vehicle to the normal setting after testing.
