How the mileage blocker works

Installation Instructions

Installation

• Switch the vehicle off and allow the electrical system to shut down before starting.
• Remove the instrument cluster / odometer display using the correct BMW chassis-specific trim-removal procedure.
• Disconnect the original instrument-cluster plug.
• Connect the module inline using the vehicle’s original plug connection.
• The fitting is plug-and-play and should not require cutting or soldering any vehicle wiring.
• Make sure all connectors are fully seated and that the module wiring is routed safely before refitting the cluster.
• Refit the instrument cluster / display and surrounding trim.
• Switch the vehicle back on and confirm that the instrument cluster and normal vehicle functions operate correctly.

Important

• BMW G-chassis vehicles can use different display types and software versions, so use the correct chassis-specific cluster-removal procedure.
• BMW software updates can change normal display / indicator feedback. Confirm correct fitting by checking connector seating and normal cluster operation rather than relying on indicator feedback alone.

Mode / Operation

The module uses vehicle controls for authorised test-mode operation and can retain the selected setting between starts. Because control behaviour depends on chassis, cluster and software version, follow the supplied vehicle-specific instructions and return the vehicle to the normal setting after testing.
