Our ALL F Series BMW, i3, i8, Mini and Rolls Royce with or without BMW’s Software/Firmware update mileage blocker is a dedicated plug-in module designed for the ALL F Series BMW, i3, i8, Mini and Rolls Royce with or without BMW’s Software/Firmware update. It temporarily stops mileage (or kilometres) from being recorded while the vehicle is in motion, and is intended only for off-road use, dyno testing, and vehicle development or tuning.

How the mileage blocker works

The module connects inline with the vehicle’s instrument-cluster wiring using the supplied plug-and-play harness for authorised off-road, dyno and vehicle-development testing. When returned to normal operation, the vehicle behaves as standard.

Installation Instructions

Installation

• Switch the vehicle off and allow the electrical system to shut down before starting.
• Remove the instrument cluster using the correct BMW F-chassis procedure.
• Disconnect the original dash / cluster plug.
• Connect the instrument-cluster end of the BSB F BC/4 module first.
• Align the white marker on the module socket with Pin 1 on the corresponding cluster / dash connector.
• Connect the original vehicle harness to the remaining module connector.
• Some BMW F-chassis clusters use a single dash plug rather than a multi-plug layout.
• Make sure all connectors are fully seated and route the wiring so it cannot be trapped or strained.
• Refit the instrument cluster and trim.
• Switch the vehicle back on and confirm normal instrument-cluster and diagnostic operation.

Important

• The module is plug-and-play and should not require cutting the vehicle wiring.

Mode / Operation

The module uses vehicle controls for authorised test-mode operation and can retain the selected setting between starts. Because control behaviour depends on chassis, cluster and software version, follow the supplied vehicle-specific instructions and return the vehicle to the normal setting after testing.
