Installation Instructions

Installation

• Switch the vehicle off and allow the electrical system to shut down before starting.
• Remove the instrument cluster using the correct Mercedes-Benz model-specific procedure.
• Disconnect the original instrument-cluster plug.
• Connect the MSB 3 module to the instrument-cluster side first.
• Align the white marker with Pin 1 where marked.
• Connect the original vehicle harness to the remaining module connector.
• Make sure all plugs are fully seated without forcing them.
• Secure the module and wiring safely, then refit the cluster.
• Switch the vehicle back on and confirm the cluster and normal vehicle functions operate correctly.

Important

• Some Mercedes software / firmware versions may be incompatible with this module.
• Confirm compatibility using approved workshop diagnostics before installation if the vehicle has recently received a software update.

Mode / Operation

Operation is controlled from the W213 steering-wheel controls and is compatible with both the black-button and facelift silver-button steering-wheel versions listed for this product. Use the supplied W213 instructions for selecting the authorised test setting and returning the vehicle to normal operation.

Important Notes

• Suitable for the W213 full-LCD widescreen dash or standard needle cluster. Also suitable for W222 Facelift, CLS C257 and W464 applications where the cluster and connector match. Certain software/firmware versions may not be compatible, so fitment should be confirmed before ordering.
